From New York to Zurich: A wedding where love and culture meet
This wedding in Zurich was a truly heartwarming affair. The bride, Swiss, and the groom, American, met in New York and had chosen to build their life together in this beautiful city.
The ceremony, held in a charming Catholic church, was filled with a sense of warmth and intimacy. As they exchanged vows, their eyes met, radiating love and determination. The groom’s words, declaring the bride the kindest girl he’d ever known, were both touching and sincere. And the bride, confident and radiant, simply shone.
Witnessing their love story unfold from behind the camera, I found myself deeply moved. It’s a constant reminder of why I love this job. I found so many similarities between myself and their love stories. Especially when I found out later that I even went to the same university as the bride! More than just capturing images, I feel a deep connection to the emotions and stories I witness at each wedding.
After the ceremony, we headed to the pier by Lake Zurich, a special place for them as it was where they got engaged. As we photographed them there, I realized the true significance of my work – to preserve these precious memories on film for years to come.
